Why we build your website before you pay a cent
By Max & Daniel · Updated 23 September 2026
Almost every web designer asks for money before you've seen anything. We do the opposite. Here's why, and how it works.
The problem with paying up front
When you pay a deposit based on a mockup, you're paying for a promise. If the finished site isn't what you pictured, you're stuck: you've already paid, and every fix costs more. It's the most common story we hear from small business owners who feel ripped off.
How our model works
We build a real first version of your website and show it to you live on a private link. You review it, ask for changes, and only when you're happy do we talk payment: a $495 deposit to finish and launch it, out of $990 total. If you don't love it, you walk away and owe nothing.
Why we're happy to take the risk
Because we're confident in the work. We keep our costs low (it's just the two of us, no outsourcing), so building first is a risk we can take. It also keeps us honest: we only get paid when you're genuinely happy.
What it means for you
- Nothing to pay until you've seen your site
- You judge the real site, not a sales pitch
- The price is fixed: $990 for a standard business site, starting with a $495 deposit once you've decided to go ahead
- If it's not right, you haven't lost a cent
See your website live before you spend a cent.
